Day before Fall.
Let's talk about the ones that have done this before me. I didn't know there was a subculture to this home haunting thing. I had no clue that people made more than just the generic items you could buy at the stores during the Halloween season. What a treat! I'm glad that I saw that Johnny Appleseed scarecrow by Pumpkinrot back in July. I'm glad I challenged myself to make something homemade and not just out of the box. Then I started seeing how much He has influenced so many haunters.
As the nights get closer to October 31st, I'm starting to get nervous with what I have made and the full picture I see in my head. Usually by this time in past years I have my store-bought decorations out and calling it good. Yet already way into September I'm still building away in my garage. This has been a blast; I can't state that enough! I hope to make the Spirits proud with my offering this year. I hope the kids and parents that come by on Halloween enjoy what they see and maybe it inspires them to make their own haunts.
Today I was asked to help out with a Haunted House here in my town and man that was a great feeling. I may not have the scariest room, but I'll give it hell that's for damn sure.
Anyways that's all that has been going on lately. Between college homework and making props for the haunt there hasn't been time for anything else.
Here are some photos of some more recent builds.
Enjoy!
