let's get past summer

Wow, I've skipped a few days. Like I said I'm new to this format. I just finished a summer semester of college. I went back to school to finish getting my associates, mainly because I will need it to promote at the job I'm at. New semester starts in about a week. All the kids are back in school, and I really haven't had time to enjoy the peace and quiet of them being out of the house during the day. I have taken many pictures that I want to share but I'm also realizing lately that my cloud isn't synced to my phone for some odd reason.

I've been keeping busy in the garage by working on new props for Halloween this year. This will be the first year that I will be making the majority of the props all by myself and I have to say that it has been really enjoyable. I think this year will be the most expensive since I have no clue what all the materials were that I was going to need, but next year I shouldn't need to buy that many tools or equipment. One thing that has really sucked is the West Texas heat that is usually blazing by noon. I work in the garage and have a small fan, but it isn't enough. I need Fall to hit like two weeks ago.

Another cool thing about making my own props has been that my youngest son has been in there with me almost the whole step of the way. It has been awesome to see his mind work and think of these crazy little stories about what he is building and what I am building. Now don't get it wrong, this kid is still scared of the dark and sleeping alone but it has been fun having him there by my side. All the other kids seem to think what I am building is cool, but I fear they are just a little too old to think I'm the coolest dad around. I hope that when they have kids they can look back and think of me and how excited I am for Halloween and anything that is horror or Sci-fi related.

I'll make this entry short and try to post some pictures along with it. Until next time.
